Góbéfest is one of the largest celebrations of arts & culture from the Carpathian Basin in the United Kingdom. The festival brings authentic folk arts, music, dance, food and drink from the most diverse region in Europe to the centre of Manchester. Now in it’s third year Góbéfest has a unique Transylvanian & Sekler Hungarian (Szèkely) theme unveiling the mysteries of this folkloric land laden with culture, music, history. The festival welcomes artists and collaborators from Hungary, Romania, Slovakia, Bulgaria to name just a few.

Expect to hear a rich variety of live music from traditional folk music to classical sounds, opera, Transylvanian celtic punk rock, Hungarian speed folk, gypsy jazz and more. Marvel at the colourful costumes and traditional dances on the stage.

The family activity tent will be running arts and music workshops, enchanting puppet shows, folk dance demonstrations, activities for all ages from babies to adults.
